4F will dress Olympic athletes in Beijing

4F will dress Olympic athletes in Beijing

We have been working on the collection for over three years. The concept was developed by a team of several specialists from the 4F Olympic Collection Department. The team faced a number of challenges: the need to tailor the clothes to suit different needs depending on the sports practiced, the weather conditions in Beijing, and the possibility of combining the range and its colors so that the athletes could easily create different outfits within one collection. The designers also focused on the most important aspect for the athletes – functionality of the clothing. A special application is supposed to help the athletes. After scanning the QR code, the Olympian will be taken to a page with access to sets adjusted to weather conditions.

4F Beijing 2022 Collection is a garment of the highest quality and refinement both in concept and production aspect Wojciech Harus, Head Designer of 4F Olympic Collection.

A collection tailored to your needs

Due to varying temperatures in different parts of Beijing, designers focused on high breathability while maintaining high water resistance parameters. Part of the assortment has been designed with modularity in mind. An example is the detachable hoods, legs, and sleeves that allow for customization of the outfits.

The men’s and women’s collections consist of 51 items each (including clothing, accessories and shoes) designed for various occasions: outfits for the opening ceremony, outfits for the starters, as well as sets for training or everyday use.

A collection inspired by winter expeditions

Designers of 4F in 2022 decided to break the pattern of white and red dominance in outfits of the competitors. Cold blue and navy blue appeared.

The Olympic collection was inspired by associations with winter expeditions, ice, the Arctic, as well as extreme weather conditions and futuristic visions of the world in the face of global warming. Hence our proposal of a color palette based on pure white, arctic blue and navy blue, which strongly emphasize the national shade of red in the details Wojciech Harus, chief designer of the 4F Olympic collections, talks about the creative process.

Recycled materials

One third of the collection consists of recycled materials – The elements of the outfits are based on m.in. recycled coffee beans, recycled consumer waste. The PKOL representative tracksuits were made of material of which 36% of the fabric is recycled. recycled fibres. Thanks to its construction, this material is very flexible and resistant to damage. It was also used to create short functional shorts and part of a hybrid jacket.

The collection was very positively received by the Polish Olympic Committee.

We always wait impatiently and curiously for the Olympic collection prepared by 4F and we have never been disappointed. 4F is quality, creativity, latest fashion trends and technologies, interesting and subtle reference to the specificity of the country hosting the Olympics, and aesthetics at the highest level. We are proud that the logo of Polish company appears on the outfits of our Olympic athletes. We are glad that it is also used more and more often by other National Olympic Committees of the world. It is the proof of power, recognizability and international prestige of 4F says Andrzej Kraśnicki, President of the Polish Olympic Committee.

Not only Poland

The world class level presented by 4F was also appreciated by foreign Olympic committees. The number of national teams dressed by the brand has been growing for years – as many as eight committees competed at the Tokyo 2020 IO in 4F clothing. This year in Beijing in 4F outfits there will be competitors of eight Olympic Committees and three Paralympic Committees. Apart from Poles, athletes from Slovakia, Lithuania, Greece, Croatia, Latvia, Serbia or Portugal, as well as Polish, Slovakian and Croatian Paralympic athletes will also wear 4F clothing during the Beijing Games.

Quality appreciated by sportsmen

Athletes appreciate the collection for its quality, functionality, technology and design.

I am positively surprised with the colors of the collection. I am attached to Polish colors, especially in the context of the Olympics, and colors proposed by 4F expose national elements in an innovative way. Very pleased with the fit and attention to functional details. The collection is made of very pleasant and light materials. This is a beautiful collection in the colors of winter. Thank you! Kamil Stoch, representative of Poland in ski jumping, reviews the clothes.

Close cooperation between Polish Olympic Committee and 4F brand has lasted for 14 years – apart from Olympic Games it also includes Youth Olympic Games, European Youth Olympic Games and European Olympic Games.
